
Glenn Mannella
Regional Security Advisor, Hamilton
Glenn Mannella joined the Secure Community Network (SCN) in October 2024 as the Community Security Director for the Hamilton Jewish Federation. In this role, Mannella administers a security program that provides consultations, building and organizational assessments, training and drills, and threat mitigation to Jewish organizations, including schools, daycare centers, synagogues, camps, assisted living facilities, and other Jewish facilities.
Mannella’s extensive background includes conducting complex criminal investigations, ranging from high-level drug trafficking to domestic violence and workplace investigations such as harassment, sexual harassment, and workplace violence. With over ten years of experience as a certified critical incident commander, Mannella’s has overseen major tactical events, prepared operational plans, and maintained connections with provincial and federal experts in the field.
His foundation as an investigator was established at the Canadian Police College and the Ontario Police College, where he gained expertise in forensic interviewing, search warrant drafting, criminal investigations, informant development, and evidence collection. Mannella has also been responsible for internal and external training, identifying emerging threats, and developing responsive programs. He has served as a part-time professor at Mohawk College and was instrumental in initiating the “Run-Hide-Fight” program for hospital security teams.
