  • SCN Applauds Sentencing Of NY Man For Transporting Firearm

    The Secure Community Network (SCN), the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America, welcomes Tuesday’s announcement of a 27-month prison sentence for Jamil Hakime, 59, of New York City, by the U.S. Department of Justice. Hakime was charged with conspiring to transport a firearm interstate as part of a plot to “shoot up a synagogue.”

  • SCN Logs Record High Antisemitic Incident Reports In October

    In the wake of the 07 October Hamas terror attacks on Israel, the Secure Community Network (SCN), the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America, is reporting an unprecedented uptick in incident reports. The 772 incident reports SCN logged in October marks the highest of any month in our nearly 20-year history of tracking data, a 109% increase from the 368 incident reports logged last month (September 2023) and a 192% increase from October 2022.

  • SCN Statement On Death Sentence For Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooter

    Today, the individual convicted on 63 federal charges against him for undertaking the massacre in a Pittsburgh synagogue on October 27th, 2018 and killing 11 worshippers and injuring 6 additional people, including four police officers, was sentenced to death. In reaction to today’s sentencing decision, Secure Community Network National Director and CEO Michael Masters issued the following statement:
